A Partnership Story: How Connection Created Opportunity

partnership story

We’re excited to announce a new partnership between IT Partners and GoSecure, expanding our ability to collaborate on cybersecurity and cyber incident response opportunities across Western Canada.

But the story of how this partnership came together is just as important to us as the partnership itself.

The relationship started at the Indigenous Tech Circle Conference, where Anne-Marie Faber  an Indigenous entrepreneur and community builder who also founded Sercle, an Indigenous-owned integrated security company, met Jordy Thibert from IT Partners Inc, an Indigenous Owned and Award winning IT Managed Services provider in Canada . Anne-Marie saw an opportunity to connect two organizations with complementary capabilities.

The Circle created the space for that connection; Anne-Marie helped turn it into a conversation with Jordy Thibert – Director of Indigenous Relations & Business Development. And so an Introduction between one of Canadas Top IT Managed Services Providers and one of Canadas Leading Managed cybersecurity and Incident response providers was facilitated

That introduction turned into conversations.

Those conversations turned into opportunities.

And those opportunities have now turned into collaboration.

As Indigenous-owned technology businesses, we believe one of the most important things we can do to grow the Indigenous technology ecosystem is create opportunities for one another.

That means making introductions. Sharing relationships. Bringing one another into opportunities. Finding complementary capabilities. And recognizing that growing the ecosystem doesn’t require one company to do everything, it requires strong businesses finding ways to succeed together.

There is mutual alignment with Jordy Thibert (IT Partners) and Anne-Marie (Sercle) – Creating connections like this is part of a broader commitment to strengthening the Indigenous technology ecosystem across the country.

That’s the kind of Indigenous business ecosystem we want to help build — and exactly why spaces like Indigenous Tech Circle matter. They bring the ecosystem together and create the conditions for relationships like this to take shape.

Through our new relationship, IT Partners will work with GoSecure on cyber breach remediation and incident response opportunities across Western Canada on a case-by-case basis. In turn, when we identify opportunities where GoSecure’s specialized cybersecurity capabilities make sense for our clients, we’ll have the ability to bring their team to the table.

We’re grateful to Anne-Marie for making the connection, and to Indigenous Tech Circle for creating a space where relationships like these can begin, and demonstrating something we hope to see much more of across the Indigenous technology sector:

Indigenous businesses creating opportunities for Indigenous businesses.

Because when we share opportunities, relationships and knowledge, we don’t just grow individual companies.

We grow the ecosystem.
